This summer, community and youth performers from across Yorkshire will be coming together to perform at West Yorkshire Playhouse as the theatre throws open its doors for OPEN SEASON. This month-long festival features dance and drama, poetry and song, new plays and Youth Theatre productions including the world premiere of the Playhouse Youth Theatre show GIRLS LIKE THAT written by award-winning playwright Evan Placey. A diverse and energetic array of community artists from Leeds and beyond will take over the Quarry and Courtyard stages from 18 June - 20 July. Uniting Leeds' youth theatres and playing host to community actors and dancers, schools, singers and spoken word artists, OPEN SEASON is a vibrant celebration of creativity in Yorkshire.
