Play :: This remarkable play takes place in and around Stockport. It is the story of Rachel Keats, growing up in a town she doesn't like, with a family in tatters and a future she cannot picture. Over the course of the fourteen years between 1998 and 2002, we are shown the key episodes that shape Rachel's adulthood. Can she make a life for herself in the town or must she escape? Will circumstance and failed relationships get the better of her or can she find the strength to make her own way in the world? Harsh, funny and caustic, Port explores a side of Stockport you might not know.
