Production details

The toughest creative challenge in town. Some of Liverpool's most exciting artistic talent has one week to respond to the most important news story of the moment. A group of playwrights, directors, film-makers, poets and musicians convenes to select the most momentous story on the news agenda. They each have seven days to create a piece of work that responds to the story they choose before it is performed for you the public on Wednesday 23 July 2008 - exactly one week after they began. Stop Press: Just a few minutes ago in the bar of the Everyman Theatre in Liverpool, the artists decided the most important news story of the moment is... Gordon Brown's tough crackdown on knife crime (Daily Mirror, 15 July 2008) This story is therefore the topic of P:T/Everyword. The artists had seven days to create a response to that story.
