Proof is one of the major plays to have hit Broadway in recent years. Winner of numerous awards including three Tony's. David Auburn's play distils complex issues and emotions with the crystalline clarity of a perfect mathematical equation. Catherine has spent years caring for her unstable but brilliant father. In his twenties he made inspirational mathematical discoveries and his legacy is a series of hand-written notebooks.
