Psalms from the Horse's Mouth

Psalms from the Horse's MouthT822434970
Since the earliest times there has been a magical connection between men and horses, a connection that has been hidden by the car. Using words and music, musician Chris Wood and storyteller Hugh Lupton celebrate this ancient relationship. At the heart of the show is horseman's daughter Jenny Wing's narrative poem The Horses, which charts the disappearance of horses from the landscape of eastern England and the way this mirrors the map of her life over most of this century. Plus, there's the story of the Celtic Horse god, heavy with foal, who was dragged from the stable to make room for Mary and Joseph. Since that night two thousand years ago she has wandered the Earth searching for somewhere to give birth. With new music written by Chris Wood, Psalms from the Horse's Mouth is a compelling combination of folk music and myth, poetry and rhythm.
