Quest - Legend of the Green Knight

T02142579992
It is Christmas at Camelot. King Arthur and Queen Guinevere are celebrating with their knights, ladies and guests. In the midst of the merriment, a deafening knock is heard and an unearthly green knight charges into the banqueting hall on his fiery battle horse. The Green Knight issues an outrageous challenge: any knight may take the Green Knight's mighty battle axe and have one blow which the Green Knight will not resist. The only condition is that the blow is returned in a year and a day. Only Sir Gawain is brave enough to accept the challenge and the court gasps as Gawain grabs the battle axe and cleanly separates the Green Knight's head from his shoulders. Amazement turns to horror as the body of the Green Knight arises and picks up his head reminding Gawain of the challenge - in a year and a day, Gawain must seek out the Green Knight so the blow can be returned. So begins Gawain's adventures through the Celtic world of ancient Britain. Along the way he encounters fanciful creatures of British folklore including sexy sirens, mischievous spriggans and malevolent gally-beggars as he and his companion Dag, the court jester, visit such fantastical places The Valley of Fyren, the mysterious Banning Moors and the lair of the evil Morgan le Fay.
