Play :: Burlesque has come to Victoria and it's 'doors' are open! Directed by award-winning Director and Choreographer Omar F. Okai (Ruthless, Purlie, Come Dancing), Saintly Sinners is the exciting new burlesque show that is being presented at Above The Stag Theatre, a new 50 seat venue in central London. The production stars Leon Ancliffe (this year's winner of the Male Tournament of Tease), Chloe Elizabeth Hunter and Jan Michael Hicks. Never leaving their side is the sensational Martyn Niele (original cast member of The Bloo Lips), as the production's Master of Ceremonies, Musical Director and Arranger. Saintly Sinners follows the adage 'Burlesque is playing to the whole house and it is the house that pays you.' Okai and Ancliffe, who are also producing the show, in collaboration with choreographer Kasper Cornish bring to life through song and dance the wonder and magic of the silver screen. These acts range from the comic genius of the much loved Charlie Chaplin and Laurel and Hardy, to the wickedness of the controversial cult classic Clockwork Orange, intertwined with the passionate journey of Brokeback Mountain, all complemented with a range of original and stylish burlesque performances.
