With a stretch of the imagination, a collection of selected pieces, some flexing of muscles to negotiate some intricate tooling, frustration, anger, laughter, euphoria and in time Sand Activated Levers arrived. Its appearance was simple, its performance magic. Basically it is a quiet machine but its potential for sounds became obvious and appropriate. These properties were explored and soon rhythmic sounds pulsed as the machine worked. It took it in its strides to operate lights that brightened the performance with the assistance of some handy persons the creation of Sandy Plays came to be.
