Gerry is escaping small town Waterford in search of freedom and the long imagined bright lights of Dublin. He reaches them and, to his delight, they are flashing a dazzling pink. Absorbed at breakneck speed into Dublin's gay scene, Gerry revels in the characters and clubs, the drinking and even the dancing. An expected phone call from home brings unexpected news.
