Second from Last in the Sack Race archiveAdapted from the novel by David Nobbs, author of The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin, this entertaining play traces the ups and downs in the life of young Henry Pratt, from his birth in a back-to-back in the north of England to the age of eighteen when he begins his National Service. Henry's childhood is disrupted many times but despite all the upheavals, he grows up to be a reasonably well adjusted man.
