Production details

Natypriya’s latest show tells the story of the beautiful young maiden Shakuntala, daughter of the sage Kanva, who is wooed by the handsome king of the realm, Dushyanta. The path of true love is paved with evil curses, lost rings, tragic misunderstandings and a host of colourful characters as Shakuntala fights for her happy ending. Natyapriya have become Playhouse favourites for their extravagantly costumed, beautifully conceived Indian dance extravaganzas. Running time: 80 mins
