A major American movie star, renowned for his 'brat pack' behaviour, is making an epic war movie in London. It's early in the morning and he should be on his way to the studios where a large film-unit is waiting to start work. But he isn't! His five-star hotel door remains firmly closed. Despite the crazy attempts of Zigzager, the demented producer, his assistant, Welty, and the hall porter, Boulder, the star refuses to budge until he has re-written the script, which could take weeks. Their attempts aren't helped by the pressure of a mysterious security man, Rattle, stationed outside the star's door.
