T01755450127 Meet Archie Nunn, an advertising executive turned serial killer. His goal in life was to be an inventor of a catch phrase that would sweep the nation - instead he is only days away from execution for a series of brutal and sadistic murders. His last request? To perform a one-man show - with us as his audience. With cool charm and a dazzling smile, this compelling character tells his story - obsessively peppered with TV references - until we find ourselves in danger of believing that this intelligent and articulate man is really just one of us.
Financial Times (11Jan01): [David Summers] controls his audience expertly, slipping from charm, to cocky humour, to aggression, and back, in the blinkof one of those glinting eyes. The piece is cleverly written and grimly funny, and carried by Summers performance. But the character lacks real substance. 3
