When up-and-coming stand up comedian Ronnie Lee (played by Charlie Ross -Jongleurs, Comedy Store, Edinburgh Fringe) finds himself stuck in the gig from Hell in a Newcastle working men's club, he has to throw away his normal routine, and start from scratch. Ronnie, his girlfriend, and his manager find themselves caught up in a situation where they discover more about themselves - and each other - than they could ever have imagined. The laughs underscore a more menacing discovery: what brings people together - and what drives them apart. And where the man with the mike is always in control.
