Comprised of first class professional jazz musicians, the Swedish Jazz Kings have been described as one of the best classic bands on the jazz scene today. International press reviews place them in a class of their own, far removed from the fanciful mood of tradition, rather more in tune with the true roots of the jazz genre. The band play 1920s and early 1930s New Orleans-Chicago style ;jazz, doing so with great musical expertise and with freshness and feeling. Their repertoire includes tunes from Jelly Roll Morton, Clarence Williams, Louis Armstrong, James P Johnson, Fats Waller, Jimmy Noone, Bix Beiderbecke, Duke Ellington and many others.
