It is Valentine's day and four people are having a party. They have done so every 14 February since 1986 when they found themselves sitting together at the memorial service to Philip Arthur Larkin (1922-1985). Each of them has a special reason for celebrating the poet and his work, with anecdotes, quotations, jazz records, beer and wine. Then, an unexpected but welcome gatecrasher turns up bearing a remarkable resemblance to a famous librarian from the University of Hull!
