Tartuffe
T0356418534
The religious hypocrite Tartuffe has wormed his way into the once ordered household and vulnerable heart of substantial merchant Orgon. Under the guise of piety, he looks set to succeed in driving away the son, marrying the daughter, seducing the wife, imprisoning Orgon and leaving the family destitute. Railed against as a sacrilegious outrage by the Church, the play was banned from public performance by Louis XIV in 1664.

(Dirty Dog)
Theatrical Niche's hysterical adaptation of Moliere's famous comedy puts Commedia Dell'Arte, Physical Comedy and Original French Excerpts centre stage in this full-tilt version. Can impostor Tartuffe seduce the proud Orgon so completely that he will surrender both family and fortune - or will this dog finally meet his day? A tale of Hypocrisy at its most extreme here sashays back onto the stage in a fancy new guise.
