Enrique Jardiel Poncela was the greatest humorist of twentieth century Spain. His plays are a mixture of Noel Coward, Hollywood comedy and the absurd. The Inhabitants of the Uninhabited House is the first of his plays to be performed in English. The play was written in 1946.
