The Magic Idealist
T1487382511
Part candlelit theatre, part bizarre scientific demonstration and part side-show curiosity,
The Magic Idealist is an atmospheric trip back to the early days of electrical experimentation. It is a meticulous re-creation of a 19th century 'electrostatic evening', where three mysterious characters in a Faraday cage and using the Wimshurst Influence Double Rotation Machine show the illuminating and illusory effects of the new energy. Haunting music plays, sparks and charges light up the room, a narrator tells the story of these miraculous discoveries, as at the same time an investigation emerges into the true nature of knowledge.
