A surreal thriller set in London at the turn of the century. The story, moving from action adventure to high-octane farce with a touch of nightmare terror just under the surface, is considered by many to be Chesterton's masterpiece. Our hero, Gabriel Syme, an undercover detective, infiltrates a secret council of revolutionaries, named after the days of the week. The group, led by the grotesque Sunday is dedicated to the destruction of society.
