The Rubenstein Kiss
T01105163694
Amidst rampant paranoia about the enemy within, the shadow of suspicion falls on two radicals from a religious minority. The Rubensteins are a devoted Jewish couple, closely modelled on the real-life Ethel and Julius Rosenberg who went to the electric chair in 1953 for passing US atomic secrets to the Soviet Union - protesting their innocence to the end. This multi award-winning play by James Phillips skips back and forth in time, as a later couple questions the Rubensteins' guilt.
