The Singing Nun archiveThis extraordinary solo performance is inspired by the true story of Jeanine Deckers, The Singing Nun, who was famous (briefly) for a kitsch little song called Dominique (1963). Twenty years later she finally regained fame with an absurdly theatrical suicide. Johnny Haunt is her biggest fan and this colourful biography is his tribute, a funny and surprising celebration of love, ambition and failure. The Singing Nun combines innovative staging with stand-up, stupidity, physical theatre and character comedy. The Singing Nun website.
