The Way We Die Now

The Way We Die NowT0
A Provocation in Two Parts. On October 4th 2001 Dr Vincent Cable MP chaired a public meeting that had been called as a result of a number of complaints about treatment of residents in the Lynde House residential nursing home in Twickenham run by Westminster Health Care. The meeting brought to light some very serious and specific concerns and led to an inquiry into the home, the publication of which is still awaited. There was also a great deal of correspondence in the local paper and on the local community web sites - Website and Website Articles appeared in the national press and questions were asked in the House of Commons. As a result of the concerns raised, the Orange Tree has decided to create a short 'documentary' which will lead into an open discussion. This special performance complements the production Happy Birthday, Dear Alice, a new play by the Irish playwright Bernard Farrell.
