Third Finger, Left Hand

A funny, sad and savagely honest story about two ordinary women with extra ordinary spirit. Based on a true story. Set in Lancashire Adam Canavan's first play is based on the lives of his two sisters. Grace, is the repressed younger sister who constantly strives for love and acceptance. Niamh is the assured and favoured elder who seems to get away with everything... almost. After years of silence, the sisters are forced to face some painful truths when Niamh is diagnosed with cancer. The two sisters reminisce about growing up in the 70's, an abusive Irish father, a dearly loved mother and their one great love - dancing.
