Uncle, Uncle archiveThe play is set on the West coast of Ireland during the mid-1990's and dealing with the difficult subject of paedophilia. Through the eyes of Jack Rafferty and his wife, Sinead, Uncle, Uncle looks at how the couple were able to maintain their respectability and secret for years; even from those closest to them. Based on a true story, the play deals with Jack's growing guilt towards the nieces he has abused. He believes he has escaped justice after accusations are made against him but no court case follows. He is mistaken and the play moves to a terrifying climax.
