In war-torn Villamosa, Matteo and Kika are 16 and in love despite their families' bitter feud. As the Revolutionary army approaches the town, they awaken the terrible curse which was cast by a witch in 1685. The fate of the town and of the two lovers comes together high on a mountain above Villamosa.. The play is a contemporary Romeo and Juliet story set in Central Europe and presents the story with humour and songs, tragedy and pathos.
