Vision/Aria
T0441375260
VISION/ARIA opens with a woman and two men in a dark empty space. They look at each other, they are tired: they have a sense that the party's over. It has been one hell of a party - loving, they realise, is tiring. The three performers re-enact the ghosts, the tension, the sparkly paranoia of a 21st century love affair and VISION/ARIA becomes a relentless film noir of calling sex lines, crying in clubs, waiting for the phone to ring, reciting love songs, in a landscape of languages borrowed from Hollywood to trash TV, via Ibiza pop culture. Until the phone rings. Until a realisation happens, the awareness of something more real, deep, carnal - something which is animal, something which is beyond fear, beyond pop, beyond conversation. A journey to find the joy that can save, the swansong that has the force to make all of the suffering void.
