Wife archiveBehind every great man... Mrs. Icarus, Catherine of Aragon, Queen Herod, Eleanor Roosevelt, Mrs. Quasimodo... A one-woman play about wives through history, art and legend, and how they are obscured. Formed around the poems from The World's Wife by Poet Laureate Carol Ann Duffy, Wife connects female experience throughout time, mythology and the world. Part poetry, part verbatim, part monologue, this is a personal and universal exploration of how women have been masked by their men.
