Our own "remarkable theatre company" The Scotsman, held the fort here at the Pleasance London this summer to create a scratch musical in 9 days with over 30 local young people. To celebrate Islington's "Black History Festival" they restage their story of challenge and adventure, of arrivals on the Windrush and departures of loved ones and ideals. a tender raw and funny theatrical collage wrapped in the music of jive, blues and bebop.
