Continuing the Poetry @ the Print Room series of intimate evenings in the company of contemporary poets, David Harsent will read from his new collection, Fire Songs, published in August by Faber and Faber. David Harsent has published eight collections of poetry. His most recent, Legion, won the Forward Prize for Best Collection in 2005 and was shortlisted for both the Whitbread Award and the T. S. Eliot Prize. His Selected Poems were published in June 2007 and were shortlisted for the Griffin International Poetry Prize.Performer David Harsent.

Glyn Maxwell and Robin Robertson - T01634657306

Glyn Maxwell, will be reading from PLUTO - published in April. It is a lean and concentrated poetry of great emotional power and by far his most directly personal work to date. Maxwell has won the E M Forster Award from the American Academy of Arts and Letters and the Eric Gregory Award and was poetry editor for the New Republic from 2001 to 2007. Three of Maxwell's poetry collections have been shortlisted for the T S Eliot Poetry Prize, and two have been shortlisted for the Whitbread Poetry Prize.
