Forget Britain's Got Talent - prepare to be blown off your seat by the energy, power and honesty of a new generation of poets. Shake the Dust is a national celebration of the power of poetry. As Olympic and Paralympic athletes train, young people from across the country will work with leading spoken word artists to share their stories and find their voices through slam poetry. Get ready for summer 2012 when they'll take the stage and shake the dust. This is the celebratory culmination of a programme of poetry workshops. Five teams of young poets come together to battle it out for the honour of representing the South East against eight other regional teams in the Shake the Dust National Final at The Southbank Centre, London, in July.
