In Shakespeare's 400th anniversary year Live Canon invited 154 poets to write new poems in response to the Bard's 154 sonnets. Participating poets came from all over the world, including Oxford. Here, Live Canon perform a selection of Shakespeare's sonnets and the contemporary poems written in response, in celebration of the great man himself. Live Canon perform poetry from memory at theatres, festivals and poetry events throughout the world. Recent appearances at Oxford Playhouse have included the movingly memorable Burns Night and War Poets.
