The Story of Charlotte Solomon, a German Jewish woman and a painter, born in Berlin in 1917 and put to death just 26 years later in Birkenau concentration camp. During the last year of her life, Charlotte produced an amazing series of 765 gouache paintings which provide an intensely personal account of her life and one of the most penetrating visual records of an individual life in the Nazi era.
