The Battle of Stalingrad

The Battle of StalingradT159040622
The infamous conflict between the Soviet Union and Germany is played out by puppets in this performance by the Tbilsi Marionette Theatre. Described as a requiem, the play is comprised of fourteen scenes and the stories of various individuals touched by the events of the battle, with intricate marionettes (some forged from string and tin buckets) playing the characters. The play is the personal response to the civil war in Georgia in the 1990s, of the director and filmmaker Rezo Gabriadze. Suitable for 12+
