Was writing for television ever a political act? Join us for a reading of a new stage play by Alan Plater (A Very British Coup, The Beiderbeck Trilogy) entitled The Golden Age. Set the morning after the 1979 general election in the drama office of a commercial television company: was this the day the golden age of television drama ended? Or was it an illusion anyway?
