MonologueSlamUK returns to it's home of Theatre Royal Stratford East this August, having now expanded to Birmingham Rep, Manchester Contact and West Yorkshire Playhouse. A friendly competition at heart, MonologueSlam is London's most talked about event, with actors going head to head in either the Youth Round, 1 Minute Smack-down or the 3 Minute Heavyweight Round, to win a plethora of prizes and be crowned champion. Hosted by Holby City's Chizzy Akudolu, MonologueSlamUK is a showcase like no other, with a DJ, guaranteed panel of industry judges, improvised comedy and a singer/musician making it an unforgettable night.
