Production details

Tom Morton-Smith and Jon Nicholls - Blunderbuss - Half documentary, half drama, Blunderbuss delves into the fallout of school shootings, how they are reported and how they go on to inspire others. Tom was writer in residence for Paines Plough and one of ‘The 50’ group, a collection of playwrights assembled by the BBC and the Royal Court. Jon is a Prix Italia-nominated composer with huge experience across theatre, TV and radio. Chris Bush and Spring Offensive - Wolf - Story and song combine in an electrically modern take on bardic storytelling, the mythology of wolves and the modern urban jungle. Spring Offensive are an Oxford based indie rock band with a particular interest in storytelling and live performance. Their powerful, high-energy compositions focus on close harmonies, group vocals and a huge range of instruments, both analogue and electronic. Chris Bush is an award-winning playwright and lyricist whose 2007 show TONY! The Blair Musical was a smash success at the Edinburgh Festival, York Theatre Royal and Oxford’s North Wall. Rachel Barnett and Clare Salaman - KIPPERS - (Kids in Parents Pockets Eroding Retirement Savings) A re-imagining of Hansel and Gretel for grown-ups. The children are 20-somethings who, much to their parent’s annoyance, won’t leave home. A play about getting lost, growing up, and injecting vodka into jelly babies. Rachel Barnett was also a member of ‘The 50’ group, and has had plays performed at Chichester Festival Theatre, The Arcola in London, and Manhattan Theatre Source in New York. Clare’s work as a composer and musician encompasses many musical genres, from medieval and baroque to English and Scandinavian traditional music. With her large collection of extraordinary and fascinating stringed instruments she creates beautiful, ethereal soundscapes.
