When the great British mezzo soprano Dame Janet Baker announced her retirement at the peak of her powers, it sent shock waves throughout the opera world. She decided to spend her last year touring the three companies with whom she had enjoyed finest triumphs; the Royal Opera, English National Opera and Glyndebourne. The resulting performances passed into musical legend. This film charts that emotional and historic final year.
