Shirley Williams has spent a lifetime at the heart of British politics. From co-founding the Liberal Democrats, to advising Gordon Brown on nuclear proliferation, to being the Lib Dem's Leader in the House of Lords. When she was a child, Shirley Williams believed that being an MP would give her the power to bring about all kinds of good things for society. She has now retired from the House of Lords after 50 years in frontline politics making sure that some good things were indeed bought about. Join us for an evening with a political legend whose commitment to making a difference has created real change throughout Britain.
