An Evening with Terry Waite
T0
A much lauded and experienced public speaker, Terry Waite will relate the trials and rewards of his truly fascinating career from his days in Idi Amin's Uganda in the dangerous role of advisor to the first African Archbishop, to his more public role as the Archbishop of Canterbury's envoy. It was, of course, this position that catapulted him onto the world stage to become one of the most remarkable humanitarian figures of our time and resulted in 1,763 days in captivity, almost 4 years of which were in solitary confinement. His story is one of action, courage and deep insight with occasional glimpses at the light-hearted side of life.
