Blood-dark Track
T0
Blood-dark Track is a narrative of murder, paranoia, espionage and fear with one of the most notorious political killings in pre-war Ireland playing a key role in its characters' lives. Joseph O'Neill's two grandfathers - one Irish, one Turkish - were both imprisoned during the war. The Irish grandfather was an active member of the IRA, while his Turkish grandfather was imprisoned by the British in Palestine on suspicion of being a spy. When Joseph O'Neill set out to investigate these imprisonments he was changed by what he found. He will read about both men and discuss how he dealt with family silences when writing the book.
