The Life of a Plantswoman and Horticulturist
The official gardening expert on BBC Television's The One Show, Christine has been a horticulturalist since the age of ten when she first obtained an allotment and started growing vegetables and flowers, which she sold to her schoolteachers and local residents.On leaving school her first job was with a local parks department before going to the Lancashire College of Agriculture and then The Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew. Christine then returned to college as a lecturer in Horticulture at Capel Manor in Enfield. A major change followed by going freelance, working as a plantswoman and horticulturalist, lecturing nationally and internationally, whilst regularly presenting on BBC TV and radio. This show will be both informative and entertaining recounting her life as a leading horticulturalist, plus there will be ample opportunity to quiz Christine in her very own Gardener's Question Time session.
