David Hare - Acting Up
T0
After nearly 30 years as a playwright and during a particularly prolific period, David Hare embarked on a new venture. He wrote the play
Via Dolorosa about his visit to the state of Israel and set about learning to act the monologue in the West End and on Broadway.
Acting Up, his hilarious diary of the experience is also an examination of the nature of acting. He marks its publication by reading from it and talking about his work.
