Peter Blegvad has been Arts Council Visiting Fellow in the Creative Writing programme at Warwick University for the past three years. Songwriter, performer, illustrator, writer and cartoonist, he has played with Faust, Slapp Happy, Henry Cow, the Art Bears and Andy Partridge of XTC; and in the States with musicians such as John Zorn, Arto Lindsay, Jack Bruce and Carla Bley. He contributed a weekly cartoon strip, Leviathan, to the Independent on Sunday, a hardback collection of which will be published autumn 2000. Peter Blegvad has lectured on such subjects as Milk, Stone, Numinous Objects, the Impossible Book, the Imaginary Library and Outsider Science, at many institutions including the Royal College of Art, and several saloon and public bars from which he has had to be ejected. Trio members John Greaves and Chris Cutler were in the legendary collective, Henry Cow and are justly renowned as players, improvisers, arrangers and composers.
