From Bentham to Big Brother

T0
Surveillance, whether in the form of government powers or Big Brother, is a seminal feature of the contemporary world. This afternoon's discussion brings together four key figures to discuss watching and being watched. Speakers include: Peter Bazalgette is the Chairman of Endemol, which produces Big Brother for Channel 4. Thomas Levin is a cultural theorist at Princeton University; Peter Cornwell is an artist and a fellow at ZKM. Peter Weibel is the director of ZKM - Centre for Art and Media Technology, Karlsruhe. This event marks the publication of Ctrl Space edited by Thomas Levin, Ursula Krohne and Peter Weibel and to which Peter Cornwall is a contributor.
