'A landmark exhibition' SOMA magazine Extra Art, is the first comprehensive, international survey of artists' ephemera. It focuses on rarely examined printed works in ephemeral formats such as mailed art, invitations, badges, postcards, posters, propaganda, advertisements and primary documents. The exhibition presents approximately five hundred works, spanning a range of art movements - from conceptual art, Fluxus and pop art, to minimalism, visual poetry and arte povera. It features works by one hundred and ninety artists, including Carl Andre, John Baldessari, Joseph Beuys, Marcel Broodthaers, Bruce Conner, Jan Dibbets, Gilbert & George, Keith Haring, Jenny Holzer, Jeff Koons, Barbara Kruger, Sol Lewitt, Roy Lichtenstein, Robert Morris, Bruce Nauman, Claes Oldenburg, Yoko Ono and John Lennon, Raymond Pettibon, Edward Ruscha, Andy Warhol, Lawrence Weiner and Hannah Wilke.
