It is the 30th anniversary of E.F. Schumacher's Small is Beautiful, and what started out as the view of one dissenting economist has become a global movement. But with the Kyoto agreement at least temporarily stalled, and all unilateral attempts to combat global warming pitifully meagre, what is the way forward? Tonight's speakers: Satish Kumar, editor of Resurgence; Ed Mayo, former director of the New Economics Foundation; Jean Lambert, Green MEP for London; and David Walker, political commentator at the Guardian.
