Southbank Centre celebrates the 400th anniversary of the birth of John Milton, and the 60th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, with a unique one-off event: a continuous live reading of all 12 books of Paradise Lost. Starting from Milton’s birthday on Tuesday 9 December, writers, actors and public figures congregate to perform his masterpiece. Poetry Library
