Journeying the Globe
T0
In this session we look to the future and ask whether Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi and Sri Lankan writing has made a lasting contribution to world literature. We ask if it has influenced western writers and whether its prospects are sound in the hands of the new novelists and poets who are following on Rushdie s path. Speakers include Girish Karnad, Romesh Gunesekera and Ananya Jahanara Kabir.
