The 20th Century was a period of tumultuous change for women - both in conflict and o n the home front. Nowhere are these changes seen more obviously than in the uniforms they wore - from the tight corsets of the nurses in the early 1900's to the battle-ready camouflage of the present day. A revelation of our changing attitudes and times, this is also a compelling insight into the lives of ordinary women performing extraordinary deeds.
